• Crypts of the Holly Spirit church in Vilnius

Probably the most famous church crypts in Lithuania, have been frequently featured in the TV and press. In huge, two stories medieval celars there are resting around 4000 corpses. For a long time it was believed that most of those corpses are infected with plague, but a recent study has found no traces of the pest.
